Fox News Host: RFK Jr Will Cure Autism And Cancer In Our Kids
This post was originally published on this site
Fox and Friends host Ainsley Earhardt gushed over a new Fox News poll, elated that somehow RFK Jr. is going to eradicate autism and cancer in our children because he’s interested in our foods.
I kid you not.
“The Fox News poll is pretty, it’s obvious who we like, we’re all excited about him,” Earhardt spouted. “How wonderful is it that we don’t, we might not have to worry about our children with autism or our kids with, you know, developing cancer or, you know, just it’s wonderful that he wants to clean up our foods.”
Earhardt’s enthusiasm for RFK Jr makes me wonder how much contact she’s had with him?
Just saying.
The medical profession has been looking at this for decades, but suddenly an anti-vax crackpot is going to somehow eradicate autism and cancer from our children in a matter of minutes.
There’s Superman and then there’s Super RFK!!!!
This is MAGA propaganda at peak level.
What Ainsley didn’t tell you about the Fox News poll was that “Overall, 47% approve of the job Trump is doing on picking his Cabinet while 50% disapprove.”
A majority of Americans DISAPPROVE of Trump’s cabinet picks.
Pete Hegseth Holds Bonkers J6 Conspiracy Theories, Of Course
This post was originally published on this site
Conservatives would like nothing better than for the public to forget the appalling attack on our nation’s Capitol on Jan 6 at the direction of Donald Trump. Probably the most profoundly stupid conspiracy theory is that Antifa was behind the attempted coup even though Joe Biden won the election.
Rapey former Fox personality Pete Hegseth enters the chat via KFiles’ Andrew Kaczynski:
President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, justified the January 6, 2021, US Capitol attack and spread baseless conspiracy theories claiming the initial break-in was a false flag operation carried out by leftist groups disguised as Trump supporters.
In comments made immediately after the riot and in the days and weeks leading up to it, Hegseth also amplified false claims that the 2020 election was stolen, a narrative that fueled the violence at the Capitol that day.
Hegseth’s remarks are among a number of controversial statements he’s made related to national security issues, including suggesting US troops should be deployed in response to domestic riots, endorsing waterboarding as an interrogation tactic, opposing women serving in combat roles and saying that gay people being allowed to serve openly in the military reflected a “Marxist” agenda.
Four days after the Capitol riot, Hegseth appeared on a podcast hosted by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called “Newt’s World.” Hegseth, who was then a Fox News host and prominent conservative media figure, downplayed the violence, defended the rioters’ motivations, and criticized the media for rejecting baseless claims of a stolen election.
He also seized on debunked reports claiming that the riot was instigated by the leftist group known as Antifa. Hegseth alleged that he had seen evidence firsthand that Antifa members disguised themselves as Trump supporters at the riot.
“There are reports, you know, in the New York Post and elsewhere. And just from, you know, common sense, that Antifa folks took advantage of this to try to get to the front and try to agitate and create openings for themselves,” Hegseth said. “They want chaos, ultimately,” Hegseth said of Antifa members. “I could even spot it. You can see the helmets where there’s a Donald Trump bumper sticker on the back, quickly put on it so they could look like they wanted to stop the steal. But what they really wanted to do was further the narrative.”
Fact check: Hegseth is a fucking dumbass. Why would left-leaning groups or individuals riot after an election where their candidate won? As for wanting chaos, that’s projection. Donald thrives on chaos, and his supporters are happy to oblige. He wants to become the secretary of defense, a powerful role giving him command and authority over the military that is second only to that of the President of the United States. Yeah, he’s not fit for that position, but neither are Donald’s other picks.
Walter Isaacson Blasts CEOs ‘Kowtowing’ To Trump
This post was originally published on this site
Biographer and journalist Walter Isaacson told CNBC’s Squawk Box earlier today that CEOs contributing to Trump’s inaugural events is kowtowing and offering up payoffs to treasonous Trump.
During a lengthy interview, CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin asked him about this new development.
SORKIN: A different question for you, Walter, which is we’ve now seen a whole number of CEOs go down to Mar-a-Lago to have dinner with the president. We have a number of big companies that are now contributing to his inaugural events. Historically have never contributed before.
So Facebook had never contributed before, for example, or Meta, I should say, and others. What do you make of that?
ISAACSON: I think the word kowtowing comes from everybody going to the emperor in China and kowtowing.
And indeed, I think that’s what you’re seeing.
I think in a broader sense, one of the things that could be a problem for the administration and has been around the world when you have very strong leadership, is this whiff, not of, corruption may be too much to say, but the whiff of kowtowing and payoffs.
And then he might get his hotel back in Washington and everybody will have to stay there. Or that people join Mar-a-Lago.
I think that could turn people off a lot.
But I think you’re seeing that these companies, Tim Cook is down there showing them the new phone, that’s understandable.
But it’s clearly a lot of kowtowing going on.
CEOs understand the way to get to Trump is by glorifying his narcissistic personality. It’s uncouth and unseemly, but this is their solution.
Not understandable is ABC News settling with Trump’s lawsuit, justifying his unconscionable thirst to strangle all dissent against himself.
We have witnessed with the run-up to the election that billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are controlling as much as power as they ever have in a much more public way.
The U.S. Constitution was not written so men with vast resources of money control the media to the point of destroying the free press just to glorify a babbling narcissistic buffoon.
Pete Hegseth’s Bodyguard Has A Disturbing History Of His Own
This post was originally published on this site
When Pete Hegseth visited senators on Capitol Hill to lobby for the job of Secretary of Defense, he was escorted by a security guard with a dark episode in his past. Via the New York Times:
The guard, a former Army Special Forces master sergeant named John Jacob Hasenbein, left the military after a 2019 training event in which witnesses said he beat a civilian role player — kicking him, punching him and leaving him hogtied in a pool of his own blood.
Oh, come on. Who hasn’t completely lost control and inappropriately beaten someone in a blind rage? I mean, usually it’s their wives, but still.
Mr. Hegseth’s choice of Mr. Hasenbein as a security escort is the latest instance in which he has stood by soldiers accused of crimes. He has repeatedly criticized military leaders as being too “woke” and waging a “war on warriors.”
In this case, Timothy Parlatore, Mr. Hegseth’s lawyer, said Mr. Hasenbein was the “victim of unjust treatment by a broken military justice system,” and Mr. Hegseth was proud to work with him. He added, “It is stories like his that demonstrate the change needed in the Department of Defense.”
He sure does have a thing for, um, edgy behavior, doesn’t he? Maybe a little projection going on there, too?
The Army charged Hasenbein with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He faced a court martial in 2020, where a military jury found him guilty of the assault charge. But the judge declared a mistrial after learning that a friend of Hasenbein (who was probably a sweet and gentle guy like him!) had been talking to a juror throughout the trial, court records show. The Army did not retry the case, and according to his lawyer, Hasenbein retired, rather than face another trial.
If this was a movie, we can guess the eventual story line.
Remember when Hegseth repeatedly defended former Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher on Fox News-Like? Several of Gallagher’s fellow SEALs under his command broke the code of silence and reported him for alleged war crimes. They said he is “freaking evil” and “perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving.” The eventual wave of MAGA support got Trump to protect him from any consequences and now he’s a “hero.”
Who wouldn’t want someone who loves outlaws running the DoD?
And why does this read like a Marvel Universe bad guy origin story?
Fox Expert Calls School Shootings ‘A Fact Of Life’
This post was originally published on this site
Fox was discussing the school shooting in Madison on Monday, and they brought in their “expert,” former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro. It would be an understatement to say that moron Mauro was rather nonchalant about the whole thing, saying that it was just “a fact of life” and that all we could do is pray for the victims:
“You know, it’s this story again,” Mauro opined. “And all we can do is pray for the people who have gone to the hospital.”
“It’s become very much a fact of life here in America at the school level, and there’s certain things here that really do jump out at you,” he continued. “It’s at a younger level school.”
“And it just really does show that, you know, it’s going to be a fact of life to have school resources officers, to have metal detectors, to have response protocols.”
Of course, Mauro was not the only idiot out there. Alex Jones showed that he still hasn’t learned a damn thing and shot off his fat mouth.
While most Wisconsin Republicans quietly offered their usual meaningless thoughts and prayers, one state representative Barbara Dittrich, went so far to call the shooter “Christophobic,” even though the shooter was a student at a private Christian school.
But then again, Wisconsin Republicans would do best by just keeping their big yaps shut altogether, since the blood is on their hands as well as the shooters. In 2019, Governor Tony Evers ordered the legislature to take up two very specific, common sense gun laws – a red flag law and stricter, more thorough universal background checks. The Republicans gaveled in and gaveled out of the special sessions in less than a minute, which left them plenty of time to go cash their checks from the NRA.
New Randy Rainbow Song: ‘I Think I’m Gonna Hate It Here’
This post was originally published on this site
The sun will come out tomorrow, but for right now, Randy Rainbow isn’t looking forward to the new Trump presidency. Via Billboard:
In his latest parody video, Rainbow sits down for another faux interview with the president-elect, this time mocking Trump for his widely criticized cabinet picks, specifically calling out Dr. Mehmet Oz and Fox News host Pete Hegseth, before listing out other potential cabinet members such as “Ursula the Sea Witch” and “Ronald McDonald.” Begrudgingly admitting that Trump is “going to be here for a while,” Rainbow agrees to “acquaint” himself with the newly elected president through “a Broadway-style production number and multiple costume changes.”
Taking on his own parody of “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here” from Annie, Rainbow lists a number of Trump’s picks for cabinet positions before wearily proclaiming, “I think I’m gonna hate it here.” Jumping between the characters of Daddy Warbucks and little orphan Annie herself, Rainbow regularly interjects his thoughts on each person mentioned, including Trump himself: “Oh boy, a convicted felon? You gotta be f–king kidding,” he sings.
As he goes after picks including Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk, Kristi Noem (with a particularly biting line “hide your pets, Kristi Noem’s packing heat”) and plenty of others, Rainbow lambasts the president-elect for choosing loyalists over those who would be best for their jobs. “All politics aside/ These hacks ain’t qualified/ I know I’m gonna hate it here,” he sings.
Judge Merchan: No Immunity For El Cheato In Hush Money Case
This post was originally published on this site
Oh look. El Cheato’s attempt to wipe away his hush money conviction went bye-bye! Via CNN:
Donald Trump’s felony conviction in the New York hush money case should not be tossed out because of the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity, Judge Juan Merchan ruled Monday.
Merchan’s decision rejected one of several avenues that Trump’s lawyers have taken to try to dismiss Trump’s May guilty verdict on 34 counts of falsifying business records. The judge did not, however, rule on a motion from Trump’s attorneys to dismiss the conviction because Trump has now been elected president.
[…] Merchan wrote the Supreme Court’s ruling that Trump should receive broad immunity for official acts during his time in office did not mean the conviction should be dismissed, ruling that the evidence presented by the Manhattan district attorney’s office was not related to Trump’s official conduct as president.
‘F*cking Idiot’ Alex Jones Gets Slammed For Thoughts On School Shooting
This post was originally published on this site
Unsurprisingly, there was another school shooting in our gun-saturated country, where 334.9 million people live. There are an estimated 393 million guns in the United States, more than in any other country. But conservatives don’t want to talk about the guns.
Meanwhile, a student at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, came armed and shot ten people, killing a teacher and a student on Monday morning.
In New Mexico on Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly gunned down his parents and teenage siblings and then drunkenly called 911 to confess to the quadruple homicide.
Conspiracy theorist and gun-humping podcaster, who propagated lies about the slaughter of Sandy Hook children, launched another lie. Again, to these people, it’s not the guns. Jones is blaming a gang member or claiming the teenager is trans.
That didn’t go down well at the Bad Place.
Christ, what an asshole.
Are More Buffy Episodes On The Way?
This post was originally published on this site
If you’ve been following Crooksandliars for the last 20 years, you probably remember I’m a huge Buffy fan.
(I also loved the Angel series as well.)
Previously, Sarah Michelle Geller had said that she thought the series was complete, but now, in an interview with Variety, she’s open to the idea of bringing back the iconic character.
In an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Gellar shared that she has been considering reprising her role as Buffy in a potential project.
“I always used to say no, because it’s in its bubble and it’s so perfect,” Gellar said on the talk show. “But watching ‘[And Just Like That…]’ and seeing ‘[Dexter: Original Sin],’ and realizing there are ways to do it, definitely does get your mind thinking, ‘Well, maybe.’”
Gellar added that “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” would not necessarily need to be relegated to a prequel either, and that there could be a wealth of different narrative options to pursue.
“It could be anything,” Gellar added. “It’s a universe. It makes you realize that in this world, we need those heroes, I think, more so than ever.”
A new Buffy the Vampire series was in development in 2018, with Monica Owusu-Breen at the helm, but it’s been on pause since then.
With Gellar being publicly on board with the idea, there must be a platform ready to jump on it.
I’d also love to bring back Drusilla (Juliet Landau), Spike (James Marsters), and Faith (Eliza Dushku) in one form or another.
Viewing hint: Many people hated the reprocessed high-definition version of the Buffy series. It did look truly horrible on my HD screen. I had the SD DVDs, but they still looked shitty as HD became the norm.
If you can find it, I found a way to enjoy it.
I use Apple TV 4K (I’m sure other streaming devices can do this), and by going into the HD resolution settings, I lowered the resolution to 720 SD. Then, I lowered the brightness setting of my TV.
I had to play around with it, but I hit the sweet spot and loved the new version after tweaking the settings. I dare any Buffy fan to complain then.
Don’t get staked and open-thread it.
Are CEO Shootings The Only Shootings Republicans Care About?
This post was originally published on this site
During Trump’s press conference today he addressed the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson at the hands of Luigi Mangione calling it “terrible” that some people “admire him.”
Since the shooting of the United Healthcare CEO, I’ve never seen so many Republicans come out come out with stern criticisms dealing with this particular shooting event.
It’s like they lost a family member.
A reporter couched the question by making it about the overall negative feelings people have about the way private health care insurers act against their client’s interests.
REPORTER: The United Healthcare shooting, the shooting of the CEO in New York, can you give us your thoughts about that, and what do you make of the reaction around the suspected shooter? Does that tell you anything about how people think about healthcare?
TRUMP: I think it’s a terrible thing. I think it’s really terrible that some people seem to admire him, like him. And I was happy to see that it wasn’t specific to this gentleman that was killed. It’s just an overall sickness as opposed to a specific sickness.
That was a terrible thing. It was cold-blooded. Just a cold-blooded, horrible killing, and how people can like this guy is …
That’s a sickness, actually.
That’s really very bad, especially the way it was done. It was so bad, right in the back, and very bad, very … A thing like that, you can’t believe that some people … And maybe it’s fake news. I don’t know.
It’s hard to believe that that can even be thought of, but it seems that there’s a certain appetite for him.
I don’t get it. I don’t get it. I don’t get it. you you
What’s the difference between a sickness that causes a shooting event or a specific sickness?
Who knows.
The only thing we ever get out of Republicans when there’s a mass school shooting or shooting at a synagogue or black church is, “Thoughts and prayers.” This is quickly followed up with, “how dare you talk about gun control at a time like this!”
Let’s see how they react to the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin.
