Yuck! Kamala Harris Using Breast Cancer to Raise Money for Herself and Planned Parenthood

Did you know that Kamala Harris has a 501 c4 nonprofit registered in Delaware?
Obviously, it’s no surprise that she does–she has to use some vehicle or another to monetize her email list, but for the life of me, I hadn’t heard a thing about it, and only found out when I got a fundraising email begging me to send her money.

Harris has never announced the formation of her group, and the only information available comes from political watchdog groups, which began covering it when a New York Times reporter shared that he had obtained a fundraising email from the organization.
NEW: Kamala Harris’s operation formed a new nonprofit group earlier this year.
It’s called KDH For The People Inc.
The group appeared on the paid-for disclaimer of a fund-raising email she sent today.

Notice how little information Goldmacher shared? It’s for a simple reason: there is no information about the group other than that it exists and wants your money.
I looked for news about it…none exists. I looked for a webpage…nada. A Google search returns nothing useful other than that the group exists, and OpenSecrets and InfluenceWatch will be following the group.
That’s it. Harris is raising money, but for what, she doesn’t say.
Even the fundraising email I got made it seem like she was raising money to fight breast cancer, but her fundraising partner, with whom she is splitting the take, is Planned Parenthood. They claim to do breast cancer screening, but in reality, they just refer women for mammograms. They will palpate your breasts in a cursory exam, but you may have cancer without a lump, and if you have one you need a mammogram anyway.

Rather pointless if your goal is to cure breast cancer.
It’s not uncommon for groups to exchange email lists or share fundraising pitches, but there is absolutely no information about what Kamala Harris is raising money for. She’s basically monetizing her list for unspecified purposes, splitting the take with Planned Parenthood so she has an excuse to ask for money for a “good cause.”
Even that cause—breast cancer—isn’t really being helped. It is a cover.
The ActBlue (of course) landing page is similarly vague. Other than the “returning power back to the people” pitch, which is rich given how Kamala Harris’ entire career has been riding on the coattails of powerful people and being installed by an establishment, there is not a lick of information about what the money is going towards.
And since you can’t find any information online, you’re stuck.
People give money to pitches like this?
I shouldn’t be surprised that Harris’ post-campaign pitch is even worse than the one she had when she ran for president. What consultants would want to work for or with her after her abysmal performance?
Planned Parenthood, of course, but likely only because they are getting access to her list to make the pitch. It must have many millions of names, and big lists are very valuable.

In a way, it’s pathetic. Politics always has an element of the grift by its nature. Even the best politicians need to scrape up the cash, and fundraising is a dirty business at its best.
But usually there is a pitch and a promise. Here? Everything is vacuous and phony. Planned Parenthood doesn’t “cure” anything, and Kamala Harris isn’t even bothering to promise anything.
It’s pure grift.
